Hoosier Pony Live

All Yellow Card Show
April 23rd, 2016 Bloomington Indiana
Monroe County Fairgrounds Community Building

5700 W Airport Rd, Bloomington, IN 47403

Hall opens at 8am, show begins promptly at 9am

By entering the Hoosier Pony Live, you agree to our code of conduct. Please do not touch a model that does not belong to you without the owner’s permission. If unruly or irresponsible behavior results in you breaking or damaging a model, you will be held responsible for reimbursing the owner for the full value of the damages. Loud music, unruly behavior, smoking, consuming alcohol or drugs, animals (except service animals), loud or out of control children, crude or rude language, and other disruptive actions will not be tolerated. Entrants are responsible for the actions of any guests they bring to the show hall. All judges’ decisions are final. Arguments with the judges or the show officials will not be tolerated. Asking questions is permitted and encouraged. Anyone breaking the code of conduct may be asked to leave the show hall immediately, without refund for entry fees

The Entry Fee is $70, for a full table, or $45 for a half table, and $5 discount to NAMHSA members.  I strongly encourage you to choose a half table, if at all possible to allow for the most entrants.  Proxy Showers will pay $5 per horse or $30 total for more than 6 horses.  They do not receive a lunch or table.  If a proxy shower requires a full or half table, they need to pay the full fee.
Lunch will be included for entrants and an additional $8 per person for non entrants, other snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.  If you’d like to bring a dish to share that would be great, let me know.
While Hoosier Pony Live is not a fundraiser for any organization, proceeds from this show will go towards putting it on again, and bringing other shows to Indiana.

Cancellation Policy: Basic entrants: 100% refund on cancellations before March 22nd.  After March 22nd  you will only receive a refund if your slot can be filled (minus any paypal fees, if they were charged).  Proxy Showers will receive a refund minus a $5 cancellation fee and any paypal fee.

Hoosier Pony Live is an all Yellow Card show, also known as Non Breed Halter classes, they will not be judged on Breed Standards but instead on Collectibility/Rarity/Desirability or on Finish of the model.  Each horse may only enter in one class, so choose carefully for which class to put it in as many models will qualify for more than one class.

It is currently pending NAMHSA approval.  All first and second place equids will receive a NAN card that qualifies them to show at NAN 2016-2019.

Finish classes will be the classes typically called Workmanship, they are judged upon 80% the paintjob and 20% on the body of the model.

Collectibility classes all need a card identifying the run with date and production info if known.  Give the judge as much info as you can, on a half sheet of paper or less.
The Custom Collectibility division is something I’ve wanted to try for quite a while, and will be run as an experiment.  This is the place to put your customs and resins that are important to the history of the hobby but may not necessarily be the most correct in breed type, or current standards, this is the division for work by artists whose work is desired and consistently sells for high prices, for customs that are near duplicates of OF style work, rehaired models, flockies not released by Breyer, things like that.  You do need to treat them like OF Collectibility classes and include info so that the judge knows why this model is desirable, when it was produced or any other important details.
Non Professional Customs are considered to be anything produced by an artist that has not won an overall championship at a live show in CM or Resin, sold $1000 worth of work combined, or placed with their work at NAN.
All other customs should be shown in the Professional/Non Owner division, whether you made it yourself or purchased it.
References for color are fine, no breed references are needed.

Class Limits: Three Horses Per Class except no limit in China classes.  Buy Ins are available for $1 per horse over the limit. Please put your dollars down on the table next to your horse.
Horses may each only show in one class.
Horse
Championship Classes: All horses that place first and second in their classes are invited to return to the show ring for championship classes. When calls are made for championship classes, please return your first and second place horses to the ring with their ribbons and NAN cards. Overall Division Championships: All horses who place first and second in Championship Classes are invited to return to the ring for the Overall Division Championships. When called for, please bring horses up along with all of their ribbons and NAN cards. Laying a Model Down: If you have a tippy or unstable model, you are encouraged to lay them on their side on the show table. Please bring a small cloth or something else to lay them on. Know that by laying a model on its side, you give the judge permission to pick it up to look at the other side.
Awards: -Each Class: Paper Flat Ribbons, placings 1-6 -Championships: TBA, Placings Champion and Reserve Champion -Overall Championships: TBA, Placings Overall and Reserve

Tagging your models: Each model is required to have a tag. On these tags, please write: FRONT: Model’s Breed and Gender BACK: Model’s Name and Owner’s Initials We will only be recording first and second place finishers in the interest of saving time.
